    Mid Tier tool brand

Avoid all home depot and lowes tools they are basically all the same Chinese tools as harbor freight just with different labels. Proto, Wright, and older Williams are all Made in USA industrial quality great tools. NWS and Gedore are a bit cheaper German made alternative to Knipex.

Beware, Starrett punches on the european market are chinese made now

Yeah this wasn't ever and isnt a question of durability or function. You misinterpreted the purpose of the original post just so you could defend chinese made tools.

Beware, Starrett punches on the european market are chinese made now

No one is claiming they fall apart when hit with a hammer you clown. Starrett is a legacy US company with a legendary American reputation supplying tools to our ancestors that built this country. If you are too much of a zoomer to realize that, go buy your tools on Amazon and don't come back here.

    Proto torque adapters

What a joke...but this is the norm when it comes to Mac, Matco, Cornwell. You have to be very careful these days to make sure you are buying US made tools. These "American companies" make like 3 tools in the US. Everything else is Asian.

Snap-On screwdriver quality vs the others

Yeah definitely do not pay snap on prices for screwdrivers. The best screwdrivers in the market are PB swiss, Vessel, Witte, Wera and they are all cheaper than snap on. Snap on may even use Witte screwdrivers and just re brand them. Unless I am remembering wrong. Either way don't do it!

Traveling to Germany for the first time, what are some must buy tools I should pick up?

Definitely Stahlwille everything so you don't have to pay $30 shipping to US.

Has anyone noticed a drastic decline in Wiha quality?

It's too late. If you look at the thread I posted thatI linked, you will see all the broken wiha bits being used for terminal blocks. I did not own them and didn't buy them. All I did was come across a bowl of broken bits and 90% were Wiha bits 😆

    Vega Tools Torx precision screwdrivers?

Definitely dont buy Wiha...I would just go with PB swiss. they aren't really that expensive and so worth it to have amazing tools made by a tool making company in Switzerland and not a giga-corporation that puts different brand labels on the same Taiwanese tools. Another alternative that is...

Has anyone noticed a drastic decline in Wiha quality?

Wiha does not make quality tools anymore, most are made in Vietnam. They do not deserve any business as far as Im concerned. If someone buys Wiha tools looking for high quality durable tools, I sigh. There are so many great real German and US made tools to choose from. Don't go with the fake...

    Quality of PB Swiss tool

Honestly did you purposely try to break these? All of my drivers and bits as well as hex keys and various other tools are PB swiss, and I haven't broken one yet. My hex bits and Allen set shoe now wear...phillips had slight wear obviously, and I have never broke any screwdriver. Something isn't...

    Wright Tool Delays

So sad what this country is becoming. We are going to be a third world country by 2024. You can't even buy a fridge anymore. Want a new dishwasher? Oh we won't have any until December, and by the way it's 4x the price. Gas and food are going to have huge lead times soon to go along with the...

Digital calipers - something between HF and Mitutoyo?

Can confirm Mitutoyo 6" digital for $119 is 100x better than fowler or harbor freight. If you are going to buy fowler. You might as well just get Harbor freight anyway. It's all Chinese and low quality. The world of digital calipers is sad these days. All but mitutoyo are Chinese.
