    Vintage Tire Pressure Gauge Calibration

Beautiful to see their gauges still used. I used to have the calibration chart from Philip Parduhn at ghmeiser but it is no longer findable

    C-clamp

Holy resurfaced thread, Batman! Lookie what Sperry dredged up from the depths! I've got c-clamp questions. Manufacture questions, materials, etc. I buy when the deals come up. Just got seven mixed including these excellent four - $22 delivered. They look like another I have that says Made In...

    Tools of Japan

My last order was 10 x 180mm, 10 x 240mm, and 10 x 300mm. Web on Monday, at the door on Friday via DHL Express. I want to post a series of domestic and other c-clamp images to pick your brains on manufacturer and material. Is there a thread for such or should I begin a new one? Subtotal...

    US Made Tire Pressure Gauge?

Yep, that is the new one. I had a prototype, and production is starting up. An Amazon seller is handling them for now. In truth, the wholesale price is so high I would not want to carry inventory. The gauge is more accurate, I believe. The one I had jumped close to pressure then slowly settled...

    US Made Tire Pressure Gauge?

The M-series you see pictured is no longer in production, Losvre. The new 100% USA-production model is still in pre-production and is bound to cost 2x as much; I probably will not carry it. There is also an "assembled in USA" model with Swiss, Polish, and US parts, but I'm not yet stocking that...

    US Made Tire Pressure Gauge?

Meiser will be bring back an Assembled in USA gauge which will be very similar to the M-series EXCEPT it will have a Swiss movement and a few parts made in Poland. It will be as close to the 100% M-Series USA gauge as possible without using Asian parts. Here is the spec sheet. I'll begin...

    Misc. Tools Meiser M-series gauges

Last year, 2014, Meiser stopped production of the M-series gauge because of parts availability. Meiser will be selling a new gauge mid-late 2015. It will be an Assembled In USA Accugage-style, with a BLUE dial. The only major part not of USA production is reported to be the movement, which will...

    Steam boiler DIY Anyone?

Ahh, the pleasures of cracking cast iron fittings to disconnect steam piping! That's what the oversized elles are, or should be. Cast iron. If it is busted, no reason why you can't disconnect it and set a new one. Watch for asbestos. The guys I know soak any fire-retardant remotely suspect...

I need a small water heater!

    - I've decided to go with a natural-gas unit - One more opinion: I just set a 20-gallon Bradford White for a customer, replacing a 40 gallon gas (that wasn't getting much use). Relocated the 20- to a better spot as well. Beautiful unit. One element. 120V. Energy Saver model. Excellent...

Concrete guys put a spike through my gas line...

Ouch! I was on a crew using that stuff in California. We used a fusion weld, which looks like an iron with ring on it. Cut the pipe, heat it up to melting, and fuse on a coupling, etc.

I'm thinking about one of those portable air conditioners

There's manufacturer wall-mount kits that do a nice job keeping the condensor away from the ground.

I'm thinking about one of those portable air conditioners

I had one for a while but gave it back to the lender. It need makeup air, so it's always sucking humid, hot, outside air into the house. And it is loud.
