I'm 29. MN born and raised.
I am a single father of an awesome 10 year old. I have full custody of him. We enjoy working on, and riding, our dirt bikes. On any given day, we are likely to be found doing pretty much anything that involves getting our hands dirty. This last summer though, Dirt Bikes and Motocross became our main focus. He was now old enough, I felt, to have his own dirtbike and start riding some real courses!
Anyway....
I am also a tinkerer, love to make and break things. I have been woodworking for 6-7 years. That was my first foray into adult level building or 'making'. I'm also into mechanics, metalworking, machining, inventing, designing, welding, electronics, leatherwork, photography and videography, construction, RC and robotics, Remodeling... and I'm sure I'm forgetting a few others....
Basically if you can build it, make it, break it, tweak it, tinker with it, drive it, fly it, shoot it, modify it, or use a tool on it in some way... I'm into it... I have had A LOT of hobbies in my admittedly short time as an adult (I'm only 29) and I'm so looking forward to many more years learning and discovering new facets of different crafts and trades... my life goal is to grow old knowing a good deal about everything that interests me...
I may never be THE expert on a certain or particular trade but I would be happy if I retire a trusted source on most things haha! That's the goal anyway!
I call myself a Jack of All Trades or Jack of All Makes!
I also like to write... English/Reading/Writing were my best subjects in school and I always enjoyed putting pen to paper. Although these days it's more like putting thumbs to iPad... but hey!
My interest in GJ started when I was researching cabinets for my garage remodel... I was looking to make my small 1 car shop the most effective and efficient as possible. Economics were also a concern for me obviously. The 3 'E's you could say! Everyone here was a lot of help, even if they didn't know it, as I just lurked in others threads. But, in the end I was able to take advantage of some deals I learned of from the Hot Buys thread. I ended up outfitting the garage with a selection of Gladiator cabinets. Purchased from Lowes on Black Friday at 45% off!
I hope to learn and share and grow in this community. Thanks for the wealth of knowledge GJ provides and has provided me.

Id prefer to be a knowledgeable, trusted source on a lot of things; rather than be THE expert on just one thing.
