    Coming in as 3 phase delta high leg on right. Old system. I've used 3 meters all the same reading.

    I installed a mag starter the other day for a customer. He called me today and said the mon press or won't start. When i get there and check the voltage at the kill switch box, (it's a 240 single phase) L1 to L2 reads 322v. N to L1 was 140 same with n to L2. And so on and so on. Until now I have...

    I get it now. The hi leg is on 3 in stead of middle position. Then they brought out the legs for 220 they didn't check to see witch was the hi leg. Thank you very much.

    I will post some pictures in about an hour. The test took place at the cut off box. When i get there I will map out the eletrical for the building. Thank you for helping me out.

    I'm installing a magnetic starter for a compressor and when I go to test the lines coming in I get- L1 to common 242v, LA to common 121v, then phase to phase I get 241v. It won't energize the 240 coil with or without pressure switch. I can manually push in the coil it will run but when I let go...
