    Show off your old signs

I'm not sure if it's painted or not. I'll have to look at it more closely tonight. I also have this old coke cooler in the backyard: the red hasn't faded too badly, thought it's definitely thinner in some spots.

    Show off your old signs

Nope. I bought it brand new and bright red at a Cracker Barrel about 10-12 years ago. I had it on the outside of a detached garage for a couple if years and it just faded like that.

    Show off your old signs

Need to rearrange and clean up my garage but these are a couple of my older signs. I really like the spark plug cabinet

    Sooo....Whats your radio?

I have a hodge-podge of components in the garage. My dad sourced me a matching mid-1980s vintage Pioneer amp and EQ, and a tuner that is maybe a couple years newer. I either hook up an old portable Technics CD player or my iPhone (Pandora or my itunes library). My stepdad gave me the speakers...

    Garage is coming along

I always planned on painting it, but once I got the walls up, I liked the look of the bare plywood as well. However, I'm glad I went ahead and painted, as it really brightened up the garage. Once I get the other flourescents hung back up, I'll take some more pictures. The reflective nature...

    Garage is coming along

Still in progress. Finished painting, and insulated the overhead doors. Still have to tear up the rest of the carpet, hang more signs, etc.

Is quickcrete up to the task?

Functionally, yes, it should do the job. Aesthetically, it's hard to match existing concrete. And I don't envy you having to mix 15 bags.

Follow along as a teenager attempts to revamp a garage.

Actually, there's not much to it. The ****** crossmember in the auto trans cars ('68-'82) is bolted in rather than welded like the manual cars. Pull the engine, drop the trans. You don't "need" a lift for the job. I pulled and reinstalled the TH400 from my '69 Corvette with just a floor jack...

    Garage is coming along

I'll get some more pics next weekend. I'm going to start painting Saturday morning.

    Garage is coming along

that's entirely possible. I know my last house had 1/2" drywall just like the rest of the house. When I bought this house though, it had a combination of pegboard and paneling in the garage. The inspector didn't mention it (and he did find plenty of other stuff that had to be remedied), so...

VCT - how does it hold up in a real garage?

Very nice. I think I am going to go ahead with the epoxy in my garage. I used it at the last house and it was very durable. Nice Vette! I used to own a '69.

    Garage is coming along

yes. I can't get a good picture right now because all my stuff (cabinets, shelves, workbench, beer fridge) is in the middle. The house is about 40 years old, and one of the previous owners used the garage for her business. The walls had masonite paneling, painted, and she had glued carpet...

    Garage is coming along

Finally got the walls finished, now I just have to paint and start putting things back in place. Then I have to finish taking up the carpet and figure out what to do for the floor. I insulated the walls, and sheathed them with 1/4" plywood, using 1" x 6" pine to cover the gaps top and bottom.

    Recommendations and advice?

here's a couple of pics where I scraped off some of the old adhesive. I think it may clean up well enough for an epoxy finish. Thoughts?

That looks really nice! Is the VCT just the checkered portion?
