    Eagle GLO 8000 lift opinions.

I've had my GLO 8000 XLT almost a year and it's great! I spent a lot of time (probably a year) deciding which one fit my needs. For a long time Bend Pak was my first choice and looked into all of the brands on the market. Except for Backyard Buddy, all hobby lifts are now made in China. A couple...

    Menards Garage

Their lumber is lousy. You'll spend 3 weeks sorting through it to find decent boards. A guy wanted to build one for me for several thousand less than a conventional builder. I'm glad I didn't!

    Just ordered my Eagle lift

After many months of surfing and thinking, I ordered an Eagle 8000XLT 4 post lift. Like most guys, I did a lot of comparing the plus and minuses of all the major brands and decided the Eagle was a good fit for me. Thanks to forum member Scott67chevelle for inviting me to his house to check out...

    Bendpak 4 post lift question

Great advice. A perfectionist would like to have them all exactly the same. I see the wisdom in this.

    Lift Section/Forum

I'm currently looking for a lift and I go on this forum almost every single day since I joined trolling for new information on lifts (and Bend Pak is not the only one out there) and have to skim through 4 pages (if I don't miss a day) of mostly things I'm not interested in. It would make it...

    Is 21 x 20 big enough?? 2-Cars

I wanted a second garage but didn't want to take up too much yard space, so I decided to build a 16x24 with 10' walls with scissor trusses this year so I could stack my cars with a lift (will get the lift this spring). If you got an extra wide lift, your wife could easily drive under it without...

    Eagle Lifts

That's the answer I was expecting Perry...... I've been looking around the internet for months and have been finding this about USA Lift companies: Either they went belly up or they started buying their lower end ones from China and build the higher end ones here (like for buses). Every time I...

    Storing batteries for the winter

On my muscle cars, I just remove them. On my Sears tractor, I park it in the shed in the fall and don't touch it til mid-April. No problems. Since 1998, only replaced that battery once. JK

    Bendpak lift cost rant

I've been doing some research on dealers by looking them up on their state's Better Business Bureau websites. It sure weeds some of them out! Some manufacturers (that have an office in the US) can be looked up also. JK

Direct Lift PP7LL vs. PP8S vs. Atlas Pro 8000

CamarosRus- Those back tires look pretty wide on the Camaro in your posts and the direct lift outside runway to outside runway dimension isn't as wide as the Bend pak wide ones are. That's one reason I'm looking at them. I don't want to screw around making sure the rear tires on my Javelin...

Direct Lift PP7LL vs. PP8S vs. Atlas Pro 8000

Thanks, 46Nash. So, I'm 691/2" tall and the Bend Pak HD-9 on the top lock is a couple inches shorter than me. Do you guys find it a hassle ducking under the runways all the time, or is it not that big a deal. If it is, I would have to go with the HD-9XW, which is taller, but also 24" longer. JK

Direct Lift PP7LL vs. PP8S vs. Atlas Pro 8000

When they list the max. rise, do they mean that's as high as it lifts, or is that the height of the top safety latch? JK

When you built your garage, did you get flack?

We live on a country road and both neighbors didn't mind and the one on that side liked watching the progress. Those people are the best neighbors and are in their 80's, and I hope they live forever. We made the garage nice to look at and set it back even with theirs so it isn't a detraction to...
