Haven't tried it on tools but I use Ospho (available at Ace) when the trail scars get rusty on my Jeep and I need paint touch ups. Dab it on, watch the rust disappear. No sanding or grinding and eroding the metal.

To the snap on tool box experts, I saw this on CL for $350. Top is Mastercraft the rest is supposed to be Snap On. Looks legit? Model number? NLA if I need parts? Sounds like a great deal and a nice refurbish job. TIA for the advise.
