    Rust removal the easy way

Haven't tried it on tools but I use Ospho (available at Ace) when the trail scars get rusty on my Jeep and I need paint touch ups. Dab it on, watch the rust disappear. No sanding or grinding and eroding the metal.

    Show your new tool arrivals

Yesterday I picked up a Bosch JS365 to replace my old B&D. Today the same store put the JS470E on clearance for $8 more than the 365 cost me, so I traded in and upgraded to the 470. Paired it with an 11- piece set of Bosch blades that included a "free" carbide one, although I already have a...

Miter saw - where to buy one?

Marc, from what I gathered online during my research they're the same exact saw except for the light. Double bevel 12" sliding 15A. Don't forget to get the right blade for the job. It comes with one that's good for general cutting but I needed a finishing one and got a 100T Diablo

For sure that would be the best quality job. Cost will be the issue so if I go that way, will have a while to wait to git'er done. Sometimes I'd rather learn and do it myself plus it gives me an excuse to um, maybe... get a set sander, compressor and start an air tool collection?I've seen some...

Miter saw - where to buy one?

I know you said no big box but there's a great deal on dewalt DWS779 for $350. It's just been discontinued and the new model is the exact thing plus a light for the cut line for $600. I forget if I got mine at Lowe's or HD. Got the second last one they had. It wasn't on the floor I had to...

so I went ahead and pulled the trigger for $320. Turns out it's a KRA-380E which would make it 1987-ish. Drawers worked, no dents, only surface rust, size works for my purposes. I'm from the they-don't-make-it-as-they-used-to school so figured that with a bit of sanding, paint and oil it...

I agree that new stuff especially made in China is mostly junky. I read so many people saying "my 15 year old Craftsman" or whatever is still good. well thats because it's 15 years old when things were not made to be disposable. Their stuff now is probably nowhere as well made. I just got...

Help ID a snap on tool box

that's a good way to see it ssdave. I guess the question then becomes, am I better off spending $350 (maybe less) on this used SO with the extras Craftsman top and SO side box, or $389 for a new HF? I'm not into the names or bragging rights, just want something that will not fall apart in a...

umm... $100 lol. No, I don't want to pay $250 for a label. THANKS for the feedback. It just sounded like a great deal considering all the other prices for SO I've seen. Off to HF to get one of their US General boxes, new and for the same price. Appreciate the comment.

Help ID a snap on tool box

To the snap on tool box experts, I saw this on CL for $350. Top is Mastercraft the rest is supposed to be Snap On. Looks legit? Model number? NLA if I need parts? Sounds like a great deal and a nice refurbish job. TIA for the advise.
