    copper air lines questions

So basically you are just forcing the parts you want to be perpendicular against the sloped lines? From the sounds of it, there well be enough "play" in the lines to make this happen?

Thanks for the reply. How would you put the filters level if its connected to rigid tubing that is sloped?

    copper air lines questions

I am going to run 3/4 copper in my 2 car garage and have some questions. 1. I've read to use type L copper line which I'm going to. Are the fittings also type L or are all copper fittings the same? (as you can tell by this question, I haven't gone to the store yet to look.) 2. What is the...

epoxy-no drain, no slope, and snow

Well its a two car garage. Only one car goes in the garage and that's my wifes. So most of one side of the garage is covered with melted snow. I am going to try to "encourage" her to get all the snow off she can but I think we all know how that goes.

epoxy-no drain, no slope, and snow

    air line installation

Phil, Do you tighten the fittings as tight as you can get them? If not, how many turns past hand tight? Thanks for the info on the unions. Good thing to think about. Where is the Leak Lock available? Is that the brand name?

I've seen that diagram before many times and your reply just made me think of another question, what is the difference between a coupling and a union?

    air line installation

Sounds like a good idea. I was thinking of the same thing. One question though on thread sealants, you can immediately put air pressure to them right? You don't need to let them dry at all?

    air line installation

This is my first post. What a great forum! I'm going to run 3/4" black iron pipe in my two car garage. As I'm thinking about the install, two questions come to mind. First one is how tight do you thread the fittings? I'll probably use some type of paste with teflon. Just wondering how much you...
