DIY Press Brake, have problems, need help?

Is it possible I don't have enough cfm to operate two jacks at the same time? :confused:I haven't tracked down the cfm spec for the jacks or the compressor but it makes me wonder? Jeff

DIY Press Brake, have problems, need help?

So I decided I needed a press brake. I purchased the 40" press brake builder kit from Swag Offroad and fabricated a frame for it. I planned on using two HF 20T air/hydraulic jacks to power it. I plumbed both jacks to a "T", using one valve to control the air to both. My first test after...

    Epoxy-coat Question

I just finished my floor last weekend using Epoxy-Coat. I filled the control joints with plain old painters caulk. I used 3/16" clothes line for backer rod. I epoxyed over to the foam around the perimeter of my shop stopping at the foam leaving a 1/2" or less between the epoxy and the block...

    My Epoxy-Coat project-Finished today!

I didn't bother buying spiked shoes. I did however make my own. I traced an old pair of sneakers onto some scrap osb. Cut out and drove screws through than patterns. Then I just wired over the top of shoes to hold them to the osb. They looked funny but worked excellant. I would never do an epoxy...

    My Epoxy-Coat project-Finished today!

It's not an exact science when applying the epoxy. My guess is when I applied mine I went a little heavier or thicker than the 9.7 mil thickness stated in the instructions. I divided my floor into 15 sections. Each section may have went down a little different. Also in mixing 15 batches, a...

    My Epoxy-Coat project-Finished today!

I think proper cleaning and triple rinsing along with the baking soda must have help prevent the bubbles. When I did the bathroom I think I must have not got all the acid rinsed off the floor as I had no where to rinse the solution to, I had to mop it up. When I did the shop area, I was able to...

    My Epoxy-Coat project-Finished today!

Spent most of last weekend cleaning my floor. Filled control joints through the week. And finally applied Epoxy-Coat today. With the help of my neighbor, we started around 8:00 this morning and finished about 2:30. We used 4 full taupe kits on 1500 sq.ft. and finished without a drop to spare...

Did 1/2 of my epoxy-coat floor today

Floor looks pretty nice! I have about 1500 Sq.ft. I plan to Epoxy Coat. For practice I did my 60 sq.ft. bathroom first and I got bubbles. Now I'm leary of doing the entire floor for fear I'll get bubbles. My bubbles also appeared after the second back roll. After talking to Christine I really...

    Storm Drains

I used very something similiar from home depot. I installed it just inside my garage doors for a floor drain. Installed it myself before the concrete was poured. Connected it to pvc. Was pretty easy.

Got bubbles in my Epoxy Coat!

I didn't do the plastic thing but I will check it before the I do the rest of the floor. The floor was poured in October of 2010 7 months ago. Didn't realize this could still be a problem?

Got bubbles in my Epoxy Coat!

I agree. I don't think I'll spend $150 on a special roller. Funny how I haven't seen other posts on the bubble problem? I'm one of the lucky few it happened to.

Got bubbles in my Epoxy Coat!

Yeah I mixed it just like the directions fearing if I didn't, something would go wrong! Didn't realize stiring like in structed would do this this! (although instructions just say stir, not on high or low or vigorously or lightly, just stir) I have read and read about this stuff hoping to get it...
