    Best Hex / Torx sockets?

I only have their hex sockets (assuming torx will be just as good), but Hazet is far and away the best that I have used. Better fit than PB Swiss, and no issues with durability. The only downside to them is that they aren't available in a long, 1/4 drive version. Koken torx are also pretty...

    Tools of Japan

Can't speak for everyone, but for my use case, L-keys are usually the easiest and quickest tool for the job. On bikes (as in bicycles not motorcycles), everything is low torque and attached to delicate parts, so ratchets and sockets are simply overkill. Once you break the bolt free there is...

    Tools of Japan

Here is a little deeper dive into the Ashai and Eight hex keys: I'm mostly working on bikes these day, so hex keys are the main tool that I use, and have thus become a little obsessive with them as of late. PB Swiss have been my main set, but have always felt a little underwhelmed with them...

    Tools of Japan

I'll put together a more in depth review this weekend, but so I'm very pleased with the performance both of them. A notch above PB Swiss, I'd say. F-22, you are correct with the Eights bening anodized instead of painted. It is very thin, so would suit your preferences, but I highly doubt it is...

    Tools of Japan

Decided to splurge on some new hex keys There doesn't seem to be a lot of info out there on either of these (especially the Asahi's), so I'm happy to do a little in-depth review if anyone is interested

    FS : Nepros 3/8, Wera 1/4 Socket/Ratchet Sets

Reorganizing the tool box and looking to move a couple of sets that I'm not using. All brilliant tools, but I've always found myself reaching for something else. Everything has seen very light use and is in excellent condition. I'd like to sell the Nepros and Wera stuff as sets, but may sell...

    Best wrenches for Motorcycles

I have a set of Stahwille 14's as my main set, and they work very well...most of the time. The fit on them is superb, which is my main priority, but the open end is a little too thick for some situations (especially on the smaller sizes). I've added in a mix of KTC, Heyco and Gedore 7's, which...

    Tools of Japan

I have a small selection, and like them a lot. Fit wise, they are a step (or two) up from Nepros and PB Swiss, but not quite as good as my Hazet stuff (my all time favorite for anything hex related). I'm pretty sure that the actual hex part is the same on the z and non-z sockets, but don't...

    Tools of Japan

As far as the fit on the ratchet goes...there is no noticeable different between the z and non-z sockets. Now, when it comes to the fit on the business end of the socket, their is a noticeable different in fit, but I would hardly call it a "compromise" I have z and non-z sockets, and end up...

The non z sockets still fit beautifully, and are not an issue on the z-series ratchets

I've been very impressed with/surprised by my Heyco wrenches. They haven't seen a ton of use since my Stahlwille's have been my main set, so I can't fully comment on durability, but the fit and finish are great, and they are very comfortable to use. I'm curious is hear what someone thinks of...

    Tools of Japan

I find the back drag on my z-series to be far lighter than that of my Nepros...while both blow my Hazet out of the water (love that ratchet though). The shape, balance, finish, and feel of the Nepros is second to none, however.
