    Thieves

Theft *****. When I worked in car audio, I saw the aftermaths of a few breakins when I came into work in the morning. There's always the classic but somewhat crude "ram a stolen car through the front of the store" method (several times), but others burglaries featured a big hole cut in the...

    Top Tul

You're joking, right? You email me back within minutes right around dinnertime today and you call this a "BAD" week? So ... on a "GOOD" week you answer before questions are asked and ship before orders are placed? :wtf:

    Toptul Reviews

Pictures and full impressions to follow, but I also received my "test" order today and am pleasantly surprised. These are NOT Craftsman level tools. I don't know if they are quite Snap-on durability-wise (and only time will tell), but fit and finish is close to the same level. I wouldn't hide...

Buying my first saw .. which one?

That's a job for a good old fashioned hand saw. My E.C. Emmerich bow saw goes through construction lumber like butter, is very quiet, and isn't likely to send me to the hospital. If I had to chop landscape timber all day for a living, I'd get the biggest, meanest chop saw I could find. For home...

Buying my first saw .. which one?

I have a decent 10" Jet contractor's saw and have used everything from little bitty Makitas to monster $10k+ SCMI sliding table saws. They all have their uses. They are also fairly dangerous. I've never been seriously hurt by a table saw, but I know an eight fingered cabinet maker among other...

    Mike Wren's part numbers

Not if we're talking about the "tools" needed for the perfect popcorn. Now, I put a tablespoon (or 13mm deep socket full) or so of olive oil into a medium size skillet (cast iron is best, but I use copper bottom stainless) with 1/4 cup (chrome or lime green soft grip?) of Jolly Time. Cover and...

    TopTul screwdrivers -- reviews?

I have a set on the way. I'll compare them to my hard handle Snap-On screwdrivers and let everyone know what I think. The really interesting comparison should be between my all-time favorite Snap-On TM831 1/4" flex ratchet (TF72 predecessor) and the Toptul 72 tooth flex head that's also in my...

    Toptul order arrived (pics)

YES. I've had 1/4" and 3/8" sets of Snap-On metric semi-deeps for, oh, 16-17 years and they cover 99% of situations. My $$$ Snap-On deeps have sat almost unused all that time, but they look nice and shiny in the tool box.
