    Tools of Japan

I assume you're referring to the LSX double open end spanners linked here. https://www.asahi-tool.co.jp/english/product/spanner-wrench/cate-lsx-double-open-end-spanner_english.html If so, they don't appear to offer 16 nor 18 MM and I assume it's because that's not a JIS bolt head size.

Are Snap On Pliers (96ACFG) all this tight?

This is more or less what I had to do to mine in order to get them to loosen up.

Ultrasonic cleaner and solution for bike chains?

I imagine the OP has already made a purchase by now, but I'll state for the future that I've been using the 2.5L ultrasonic cleaner from Harbor Freight along with simple green to clean bike parts. The largest cogs on my cassette stick out of the top of the cleaning solution, so I have to rotate...

    Christmas 2024

If you're looking for wrench organizers, I've been really happy with toolganizer. They've got standard offerings, but you can also have them make custom ones that exactly match whatever sets you may have and I find their pricing to be quite reasonable. For me you can get a lot more in a drawer...

USAG 285X wrenches (aka "RBRT") showed up!

If you can live with your 8 & 9 mm being in a mislabeled slot, this could be an option. https://www.ultimategarage.com/shop/part.php?products_id=9248

Fellow balding guy here who has had a similar experience. I bought one of these GUTR sweatbands last year and I really like it. I can still wear this with a regular hat and it works like a gutter and redirects any sweat that would get in your eyes to back near your ears...

    Educate me on pressure washers

If your budget allows, by all means get a honda motor and a cat pump. I doubt that it does, in which case having a pressure washer is better than not having a pressure washer. I bought this unit a year and a half ago from northern tool on sale for $300 and have been happy with it thus far...

They've only been here since June 2017, so in the grand scheme of things they haven't been here long, but they're expanding.

AWG and a snowblower. How necessary is it?

This is what I've been using with my electric snowblower. Granted it was half the price when I bought it 10 years ago. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001KY03FC/?tag=atomicindus08-20

Time to buy a new tool, looking to get a smoke machine, any ones better than others?

No idea if it's any good, but I was browsing the new tools portion of Harbor Freight's website and they've recently released one. https://www.harborfreight.com/collections/new-tools/diagnostic-smoke-machine-59431.html

    Easy to insert air couplers?

Try one of these. You've got an extra step of having to slide a sleeve, but I bought one a few months back and I've been quite pleased with it. https://www.harborfreight.com/5-in-1-safety-coupler-57571.html

Thanks for posting. Vise restoration is what introduced me to Garage Journal in the first place.

    Screwdriver Decision Fatigue

Buy this Vessel set and quit thinking about it (definitely shop around for the best price). https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07ZJ1QZFT/?tag=atomicindus08-20. If you're like me and prefer a shorter #2 phillips, the part number you're after is 930-2-100.
