Tekton is really impressing me and hope they keep up the good work, this company deserves respect and im a very happy customer of theirs.

Choose Tekton because they take care of you better than Gearwrench and, speaking from personal experience, new Gearwrench is poorly made and troublesome compared to older Gearwrench.

Pawn shops around me always have series 80 Snap On ratchets, call some shops around you and check them out, no one makes a better ratchet and parts will always be available.

Some of the tools I use professionally , day in and day out, are from Tekton and I absolutely love this company and their customer service. I especially like their American made pliers and their impact sockets.

the main problem with Lowes is the warranty . they are very flakey when it comes to their lifetime "warranty", its a hit or miss regarding replacement, often times they will give you a refund of the last price the tool was sold for (usually very cheap). I would avoid Kobalt for this reason alone.
