    Vent the Compressor Room?

In the first 2 bays, the dotted line rectangle is the size of a Chevy Tahoe. Does that answer your question?

    Vent the Compressor Room?

Thanks guys. This is a 2-story structure, so some of suggestions won't fly. And the ceiling over this room is just 8' tall, so I can use the space above it for storage. I'm going to have my GC install a vent in the bottom of the metal exterior door, and then bolt an exhaust fan to the ceiling...

    Vent the Compressor Room?

My new garage is nearing completion, and I noticed that the compressor room has no air vent. With a large, 2-stage compressor, I'll definitely need air ventilation in there, right? :headscrat The space is already sheetrocked and painted, and bricked on the outside. The easiest way to vent it...

    lights in floor

Whatever light you choose, it should be sealed. The last thing you want is to spill gas and have it ignite a fire within your lighting solution... That's why I narrowed my search to the LightVault product from KIM Lighting. They are sealed and guaranteed to be corrosion-free.

What is the right Florescent light fixture?Need some Layout help!!

If you're talking to me, my ceiling height is 13' and my walls are painted a medium gray, with a white ceiling. I think the reflectors will help target the light better, but I could be wrong.

What is the right Florescent light fixture?Need some Layout help!!

After doing lots of research on this site, I decided to go with these heavy-duty industrical fixtures from Lithonia. The GEB10IS industrial-grade electronic ballast is essential (at least that's what I read on here)...

    lights in floor

Those actually look pretty good! And cheap! I never found those during my search. So I guess when I say that I looked at EVERYTHING, that might have been a bit of an overstatement.

    lights in floor

I wanted to do this for my new shop too. I looked at EVERYTHING. You have to be keenly aware of the surface temperature of the light, as well as the light output. A pool light would likely burn your feet. I ended up deciding that the only light that would do is the Lightvault by KIM Lighting...

    In-floor Scissor Lift Install

I think you're right. Bummer. I don't plan on trying to fix it, but I just lost 2" of height at full stretch. Oh well, it'll still be the coolest lift install on the block.

    In-floor Scissor Lift Install

Lane, I'm trying to figure out why my lift is so much taller than yours and Paul's. Can you compare your lift with mine in the picture below and let me know if yours has 3 nuts, with one that's painted? I'm betting you guys only have 2, or maybe even only 1, and that's what's making the...

    In-floor Scissor Lift Install

Sure! Sorry for the delay, I never saw the email saying there was more traffic on this thread. The control unit measurements are: 17 3/4" W x 12 5/8" L x 38 3/4" H (in the back) and 34 3/4" (in the front). There are 2 height measurements because the control panal is at a slant, so the height...

    In-floor Scissor Lift Install

From an earlier post: So, if you live in a city that one of the big shippers already has a warehouse in (like I did in Dallas), then you can avoid the freight. The customs charges are still pretty significant at ~$350-400.
