    cordless impact driver

I think this is the same one I got for Xmas myself (DCF885 impact driver, and a drill, can't remember the number off the top of my head). The impact does have a bit of a smell to it as well - nothing too offensive. I was thinking it probably would burn off eventually, so that's good to know.

Do you own a HAND impact driver

I have a getting-old (>10 yrs) one from Craftsman. I've only used it like 3 times in the last 3 years maybe, but it's been invaluable each of those times. Nothing worse than turning a 5 min maintenance job into a trip to the hardware store to replace a stupid-size screw that I don't have on...

    Impact driver

Is the Bosch combo kit you linked to the same price as a bare-tool (i.e. no battery) DeWALT? If so, then certainly get the Bosch... but from a quick look around Amazon, it seems you can save $100 or more if you can use the current DeWALT batteries and charger that you have. Then again, if you...

    Brushless 18(20V) impact driver options

I know Hitachi has a brushless 18v as well - WH18DBDL I believe. I haven't used it but I have some friends who love the Hitachi stuff. All their Li-ion tools have lifetime warranty on the tool itself. I have had my eye on the DeWalt, but I do like Milwaukee stuff in general - they definitely...

    impact driver

Thanks for this - it really is interesting to see. You can easily see how this "v-shaped projection" style worked, and I can use my imagination to see how it evolved into the spline-style that's used in other impact drivers today,

Anyone have a Brushless Cordless Drill? Thoughts?

If I remember right, Milwaukee has at least 30-35 tools that go with their M18 line. Not sure if that's more or less than Makita, but it seems like a pretty good sized tool line. I like Makita, but I think in many cases you get at least as good of tools from Milwaukee, and usually at a better...

    impact driver

Are you talking about cordless impact drivers or the standard manual one? Snap-on has manual impact drivers that are made in usa. I don't think they have cordless ones, but they have cordless impact wrenches. You could always get a small (14.4v) USA made impact wrench from Snap-on and get an...
