Well it might be your main power is crossed feeding the heater, just unplug it and switch the wires..... Hope this helps,

hehehehehehe fixed it myself......reverse main power supply....heat in the shop hooorayy

well I just finished installing it.......purged the natural gas right at the appliance shut off......turned the power on......green light check......called for heat with the thermastat and the power exhaust fired up then gas flowed and lit up for 5-10 seconds ......then blew out......lit up...

I'm in the same boat........just have to sit down at Barnes & Noble and catch up on some reading to properly set it up.....gas....electric..........even in here there are great ideas to embellish on.....hehehehe
