How many of you are technitions on the road

E track on the inside is the best for holding things. I even used it on top of the roof of my old truck in the event I had to haul a latter or some conduit.

How many of you are technitions on the road

I wish I had photos of the tourch hose reel that I had made years ago. I had a reel that had a peg in the center of the reel. Half of the way down my 150 ft hose I doubled it over and tapped it together. I would slip the loop over the peg and wrap it up from the center. By the time the cutting...

How many of you are technitions on the road

I have been a technition on the road for 25 years. I just changed jobs and have to outfit my third truck. All the other technitions at work share their innovations. Do we have some guys here that have their shop on the road? Pictures of your ideas would be great. Keep those wheels in your head...

    shop vac attachment

That's a great vaccuum cleaner. The motor is close to the floor. No long hose to slow down the air. Very like friction.

My WW2 generator is coming home tonight

Yes you are right, but it will have to be later after the garage build is done. I didn't plan to bring it home yet. But a sudden job change made me get it out of the bosses warehouse. But now I will have more time and money, so I can start the restoration sooner.

    Vise grip question

I have pondered this question often. What is it that makes vice grip far superior to all the other copy cats. Is the metal better or is the machining tighter. Why does the thumb screw hold up much better, the rivets are stronger. Maybe you disagree? I look at things at face value and I can't...

My WW2 generator is coming home tonight

I plan on putting it in one of the shipping containers and having a generator room for powering the house and garage. It is 120/240 so it will work great. One of the goals is to make the generator room with more than one size machine. I have a small Kubota that I would like to have hooked up as...

My WW2 generator is coming home tonight

This generator is all American. And all mechanical. The mechanical voltage regulator is so cool! It has all the safety shut down's and all in working condition. Still has the original gas tank. I have had other guys say they just want to see the tank because they can't find any. I plan to put it...

My WW2 generator is coming home tonight

I do generator repair for a living and I'm in a job change right now so I gotta get my toys out of the bosses warehouse before it gets put on EBay. I had a customer that was using it on a farm. The 87 year old miser needed a bigger generator but didn't want to spend any money. So his son and I...
