I'm considering purchasing a property that has this garage. The door is 12' tall.
Is it possible to raise one of these at all to 13' to fit a RV in, or should I not count on it at any reasonable expense?
I'm trying to get better photos of the interior facing the door side, but unfortunately...
I appreciate the input, as there's a reason I asked the question and all feedback is good. I'm providing more information and pictures below to see if your feedback remains the same, or changes in either direction. It also may help others answer the same and visualize this.

In my experience, overly narrow doors are annoying to back trailers into, and the shot won't be the straightest. I could change the 16' door to 14'. It is two foot off the south (left) wall, this would make it 4.
I could also do two 12s.
The 16' allows three bays of easy parking, but reality...
I'm in the final stages of pulling the trigger on building my polebarn.
1) Too big for the lot (1 acre lot in Boise, ID?)
2) Where should I put the windows (if any?)
3) What do you think of the layout?
4) Would you change anything regarding the design?
5) Where would you put the lift ? how far...
Thank you.
Due to the RV, loading long wise will likely be required.
Finding space is going to be hard, it's all over-grown weeds/sage now without vehicle access until I push over a storage shed. I might use a parking lot somewhere though.
Thanks for the input guys.
While I'm up for minor variances of the 15' to a more practical number (whether that be less or more), I think most of the replies here say it needs at least 50% more to be of additional use. Due to the cost involved, I can only tweak it in minor ways at this time.
I'm installing a lean-to on a 34x58 pole-barn with 16' walls.
How wide should I make the lean-to? Is 15' optimal/adequate (IE: 15'x58')or larger than needed?
Decisions Decisions. Not sure what you mean though.
I don't even know if the truck will fit with toy hauler. 28' RV (32' bump to bump) + 20' pickup. Plus a foot on the hitch. I'm sure even a 58' building doesn't come with a 58' bay. Fuzzy math tells me it will be close.
This would be so...
