Astro Extra-Long Flex Head Nano Socket Ratchet Wrench 78318 (unicorn tool?)

I got mine a month or two ago I set restock email alert for it on jdtco. Everyone got a restock at the same time when I got that email. Kinda wish I would have checked amazon or summit before buying from jdtco tho because they listed it for like half the price I got mine

    Pry Bars Decision

Mayhew feels like a better bar to me than the wilde. The tips on the wilde are also kind of soft. I don't like the handles on either of the, the dominator is a slightly softer rubber, the wilde is harder but it gets kind of shredded up easily, and I wouldn't call it a hard handle. So far my...

Sprays, Lubricants, Oils, Greases: Favorites and Requirements?

I use wd-40 and pb blaster as cleaners mainly. I don't really like break clean for cleaning except for specific scenarios, I mainly use it to clean off wd-40/pb and also use it to dry off whatever I'm working on I use silicone and white lithium spray for hard to reach stuff 3 in 1 for general...

Looking for 1/4" long handle ratchets

I would get the new gearwrench 120xp locking flexhead. It's 9in which is a good length for a long 1/4" Drive. The whole point of getting a long 1/4 is to access hard to reach spots, which isn't always easy with a fixed head, and can a huge pain with a regular flex head if the head keeps flexing...

Looking for a recommendation on a tool set to keep in the truck

If you're planning on working on your own car then I wouldn't even bother with a pre-made tool kit. At least IMO it's a waste of space and you can get better more usable stuff just carrying the sizes you need. I bought one of those tool rolls with the big zipper pockets on Amazon and I keep...

Snap-on or Koken 3/8" Impact Driver?

After buying the koken I couldn't imagine using anything else

    New tape measure

Honestly I hate the Stanley fat max and the powerlock, they both ****. They just happen to be the best I've ever tried so it's all I use. Not sure why something so simple has to have a million cheap options and not 1 is good. If you find a tape made in the USA, let me know please. I'm pretty...

Anyone ever use the Proto J5457F?

I've been trying to decide between this one and the long Wright 1/2" flexhead as well (let's be honest I'll end up with both eventually) I have the 3/8" version of the proto and I really like it. It's a lighter back drag than the new style Williams roundheads that have the same heart spring...

    JIS screwdriver

You're stripping the rotor screws because they're soft rusted fasteners and you're using a screwdriver to take them out. Get a hand impact driver with a Phillips #3 and dip the tip in valve grinding compound. If you want something just for rotor screws that's specifically JIS compatible just get...

    ICON Socket——color me unimpressed

A similar thing happened in this video to an icon socket during first use Tbh a lot of icon stuff seems pretty overpriced when compared to your run of the mill Taiwan stuff that's often cheaper and similar quality. I bought a few ratchets and one of them started skipping teeth after a couple...

SK already being clearanced at Lowes?

In order from left to right, Gearwrench ratcheting(Chinese), Armstrong (same as old craftsman professional I believe), Craftsman raised panel, SK X-Frame, then Wrightgrip 2.0 Id say they're the thickest wrenches I own. Personally I don't mind the beam thickness and find them comfortable...

SK already being clearanced at Lowes?

My local Lowes has had the sk on on sale price since they started carrying them. BTW my Lowes didn't have any sk stuff out and the employees were clueless about it. I had to do an online pickup order to get my x-frames. Had to do the same thing with that Texas craftsman run socket set. *****...
