Thanks Merkyworks - I called Wilton Customer Service and have not heard back from them yet. It looks like my solution is going to be the grinder and flap wheel - I was trying not to repaint it but now I will be doing the full Monty on it!

I picked up a Wilton / Snap On 1760 at an auction site and have a question for others with this model. The dynamic jaw casting is not symmetrical and is obviously wider on one side than the other. Has anyone else noticed this issue and if so have you done anything with it or just left it...

I recently picked up one of these and saw on E-Bay and other sites that they were made of solid brass. The one I have did not seem to be brass so I tried a magnet on it and it stuck - I am thinking maybe cast iron?
