    Putting down floor insulation

I dont quite understand what you mean by draining, since those sheets will be under the concrete. Concrete guy will level the floor so the water goes into those floor drains. Doesnt matter which way you lay them. Use the direction that needs less cutting of those foam sheets.

    Longest Lasting Flooring?

BASF has a product called Mastertop. http://www.productspec.net/products/19896/basf/mastertop-100.aspx I have Mastertop 100 in my garage, but since its not done yet I have no first hand experience what kind of abuse it can take. It's supposed to withstand studded tires etc. that epoxy cant...

    Outside Perimeter insulation

Thats normal stuff here in FInland. Atleast 6 feet around the building plus vertical with 4inch styrofoam. If your slab is directly on the ground then 8 inches under the slab.

    24x30x10 Build Pics

It's standard stuff here, 4inches of styrofoam under the slab. Keeps the heat from escaping to the ground under the slab. Unless you do that and have in floor heating, then you are actually heating the ground almost as much as your garage. It wont compress under the weight of the slab but mine...

That insulation under the slab is just something I never get used to when comparing to our requirements. Here in Finland its always minimum 10cm(4inches to you americans) EPS under the slab. I have garage of my own in the works and I will make a post about it when it gets a lil further. Thanks...
