I think there will be a significant cost increase running everything in EMT as apposed to romex wire in the walls. But, that being said we are having plans drawn for our new shop and everything will be run outside the walls to allow for changes, additions and upgrades.

One thing I would check is the type of pvc you have. Schedule 40 vs thin wall. Absent freezing I have never seen PVC Sch40 split. Is it below the freeze line? If you discover it’s thin, it will need to be replaced.

What did you do "IN" your garage today?
Assembled a parts rack to organize parts as they come off the car. This happens to be a Dodge 5.9L from a Durango that spun a rod bearing.
I started with just a basic roller from Harbor Freight and added a countertop from Ikea. But for organizing I am using the Matco Tool Grid. Expensive but I like it because I can reorganize as needed to new tools.

I too had the same problem when I built my shop. Seemed the inspector would come out and find something “wrong” or missing. I would fix it only to find something else. The Inspectors locally here aren’t really helpful to the DIY guy.
