Hey all -
been busy getting some QST lately but thought it was time for an update!
Keeping busy at work during the day and burning the midnight oil in the shop at night. I think I can officially call this a pop up camper build! These two pics are about a week old - just getting the roof...
@Wasfast - good idea. I've heard of ppl having carbon monoxide detectors in their campers. Wouldnt want to go to all this work and wake up dead!
Had some QST this week and got to work more on the Tacoma & camper.
I've been thinking about the shell height / drawer questions all week and played...
Hey everyone,
I was lucky enough to get the $60 A.R.E top this weekend and have started to turn this plan into a reality! Got some QST tonight after work and began to mock up the utility compartments. Just trying to work out the large shapes and overall feel of the boxes. Using scrap 1" rigid...
Gregor - thanks for sharing that vid from The Old Tony. Couldnt sleep here on the east coast and just did a little binge watching. The thing I loved was that copy Hassfold Bender - its like the machine I never knew I needed in my shop that now I must have!
@Fallen Angel Hey! Welcome! Thanks for the kind words!Ha - the real estate in Newburgh is incredibly cheap...but I wont say anything. ;)
Fingers crossed I'll be getting an A.R.E. Cap that fits the Tacoma this weekend for a steal...In the meantime I wanted to show a few more renderings I've...
@ 1/2 Cup - thanks my friend, that means a lot coming from you!
I've been doing more work on my camper body model. Incorporating some new ideas. Also managed to track down a cheap hard top that should fit my Tacoma! Hoping to get it next weekend. Now onto the sketches...
I woke up and had an...
Brent - I am Liquid Wood / Wood Epox biggest fan! I use it extensively in the restoration work. Small surface repairs typically I use bondo - I'm curious to try out some other non shrinking fillers in the future tho. Just havent gotten around to it yet.
Hey Everyone - thanks for your kind words! It's very encouraging :) It's great to be active on GJ again and slowly check back in w everyones projects.
Terranova - They were already in the beams - some as large as 2 inches deep! I tried to work around the worst of them but overall had to do...
Eddy,

Gregor - it's nice to catch up with your projects! I've been away from GJ for a while also and usually keep up with you on Instagram, but love the write up portion too. Looking great as usual - hope you figure out the stain situation.

Those Carriage house doors which were just talk are now installed! It was an immense learning process to do...
Wazzza I'm really enjoying your build. I just spent a week in Denmark and really enjoyed seeing Scandinavia so getting to check out your shop here is extra special. I lived in Germany for a little while as well and have gotten to really love European design and build projects. Great work!
