Yea didnt know about the size and price of the heuer, 300 dollars for a 4 inch open screw vise without a swivel base. I've seen the doyle at the store and it seems pretty chunky but smooth.
Should one strive for a mirror polish? There was a low spot that i tried to fill up by welding but it seems that when going after small spots for perfection you end up messing the part up more? I considered using body filler and sanding smooth and painting a mirror color
but decided to try to go...
Does anyone know if rubbing copper across the teeth will actually clean out the file? Ive seen it done on many videos and it seems to work by just taking any piece of copper and making the grooves on a flat end.
