    My Nohr-S acid stain project

This was a new slab with a power trowel finish. No grinding required, I just hit it with the pressure washer and Simple Green. Clearly, be careful with the pressure washer, as you can damage the surface.

You got it. That and a PVC drain pipe. Blue is my "No drill" zone. ;)

Thanks, Sean! The look of acid stain really grew on me, and I'm really happy with it. Can't wait to get the lift in, and get rolling on car projects!

And the Nohr-S is applied and curing. Ended up putting down 4 coats, as the coverage per can was better than expected. Needless to say, I should have a pretty thick layer of protection.

    My Nohr-S acid stain project

I sourced the stain and the sealer from Scotty at Legacy, and so far, I'm very pleased with the results. I obviously want to get some real use on it, before passing final judgement, so I'll report back after I get through a couple of projects. I'd call it an 85% project, which I'm happy with...

And, finally, with 4 coats of Nohr-S applied:

    My Nohr-S acid stain project

The initial stain with Malayan Buff (I loved this color): After removing the masking tape, I applied the Azure Blue: I didn't realize that I went to heavy on laying it down, which caused some awkward pooling. Rather than let it create a huge puddle near the door, I said "WTF?" and used a...

    My Nohr-S acid stain project

I put down four coats of Nohr-S, last night and into this morning, and I'm looking forward to moving into the garage on Sunday. I've been pretty focused on the project, so unlike most threads, you guys won't have to wait for the final results. ;) The back story is that I originally intended to...

Flooring: What you wish you had done

This is actually worthwhile advice. I'm winding down on my project, and wished I'd done a practice project prior to this one. I am happy with the results, but feel it's an 85% success, whereas, if I had experience on a prior project, it could have been a 95%'er.

Thanks! I really hope that the Nohr-S gives it a similar look to the last picture, as it really does pop. It sounds like the sealer arrived a day early, so I should have the final results, tomorrow. I hope you weren't hit too hard with the storms that blew through. It was one hell of a weekend...

My Saber garage install and basement Ultra (Sam's Club) install

Nice rides, and nice progress on the garage. I'd suggest ditching the lacy curtains, though. ;)

I'm waiting for the Nohr-S sealer to arrive on Wednesday, and it should be sealed and ready for traffic, Sunday. In the meantime, I added a 45" x 45" Hyloft storage shelf to the section where the motorcycles will be parked. Plan is to use it for long-term storage items. Two more shelves are on...

Taped for the first round of stain: After stain with Malayan Buff: Ended up with pooling of the azure blue in sections, chose to push it out with a brush, rather than just let it run off. Neutralizing process:

For the next couple days, I procrastinated and took care of some stuff around the house, like assembling furniture and unpacking. I was avoiding the floor. I had an idea, but lacked confidence. Finally, I called a local ground penetrating radar company. They came out and shot the whole garage...
