YouTube tool reviews for TI brands (Milwaukee, Ryobi) show that they have a cutoff when the load is too high. It's supposed to make them last longer. That's how they last through the 5 year warranty. The Harbor Freight Bauer tools don't have this and you can see them smoke the circuit boards...
I have an old set of Craftsman tools just because they were made in the USA. Ever since they moved their production out of US, I get the same Taiwan grade of tools at Harbor Freight. The younger generation is not going to pay extra for Craftsman name.
If you're on team DeWalt, they have a 1/2 kit on sale at Home Depot for $279.

Re: Ryobi Strut - cordless, brushless, 18v stick vacuum W/POWERED BRUSH & docking sta
I think it should be $100. For $50 more you can get a dyson V6 animal that will **** better.
The handheld Dyson at Walmart for $130 is the only small vacuum you'll be happy with the suction. I'm not a fan of the build quality, but it works pretty well.
I have the DeWalt DCF899. It's only $20 more than the Harbor Freight Earthquake Extreme when you add the 2 year warranty. Parts are also available after the warranty is up. It's brushless. It's assembled in the USA and I already have other DeWalt tools.
I have a similar version by Harbor Freight and the bridge rectifier inside the motor shorted and was causing the fuse to blow. I soldered a new one and it works again. Some compressors have the bridge on a circuit board next to the motor.
Nothing else needed to be replaced. Dropped right in. By looking at the pictures of the DCF880, my guess would say it should drop right in without anything else too.
Sorry to bring up an old thread, but this is the only one I found on Google when I was searching to replace the anvil on the DCF887.
The 3/8 anvil (608116-00SV) works on the DCF887 if anyone is wondering. I mostly use this tool on cars and the 1/4" to 3/8" adapter would get jammed sometimes...
The only previews DeWalt made is for the Mid Touque (DCF894). If you already have other DeWalt tools the CDF899 if fine. I have one and it works fine. I bought it at Lowes for $279 on sale with a charger and 4 Ah battery. Assembled in USA too.
