31amps on the motor plate, 40amp mag start specific for 7.5hp compressor motors. The mag start can accept up to 6 gauge wiring. Based on this photo? I'm alright? All the photos I've looked at (there are few online) that have 7.5hp motors and mags look like they have 8 gauge wiring.

I had the Day off from work so I've been wiring up the baldor. 8 gauge multiple strand wire in 1/2 conduit with a solid strand ground. I had extra from the flooring business so I made it work and didn't want to buy 3/4" fitting and tubes.
