I'm building in a small town in Iowa. My house is the first house most see when coming into town. For the most part the houses around me have small detached, attached garages or none at all. The house's around were built in the 60's I think. Mostly ranch.
Because of my 32' depth to work with. I think I will have plenty of room for a bench, tool box and cabinet's at the front. So I will pull up to the bench and box. Which is nice when working on a vehicle. Tools being right behind you.

I have a few questions. Your 2 post lift is close to the wall. I can see room was an issue. Would you recommend having the lift any further away from the wall? How close is it? Any info would be great.

I wouldn't tap into the line outside the house. If you have a problem with that line and you don't have a valve you now have two problems.
If you trench the line below frost it wont freeze. I wouldn't run heat tape with it. That stuff doesn't last forever.
