The two boxes open very differently. My recommendation is to pick whichever opens naturally to you. The Masterforce uses the older "griplatch" style system my older Craftsman professional had and I prefer that. To me the plastic tabs to open the drawers on the Harbor Freight aren't my favorite...

I'm buying a bunch of these to give out to the mechanics at my work (Helicopter company). I use mine all the time at home, it works better than the magnetic ones for my use.

I love Mr. Beams. Tried the Tao electronics and decided to stick with Mr. Beams. Got these all over the house. They work great when mounted to a tree overlooking the driveway!
