Yeah I was looking at how it could be done. I'll give it to one of the machinists or mechanical engineers at by business and see if they can tighten 'er up!

Pics 1&2 are of Carew #10 Nippers. Looks like they were based in Cincinnati.
3&4) Are of Fulton 14in blacksmith Nippers. Apparently, according to Alloy Artifacts, was the first maker of Craftsman tools. Here is an interesting article...
