I did remove the set screws in the pulley. Not sure how to determine if it has a integral lock or not. But everyone thank you for the link belt idea! If anyone has recommendations for lathe parts, attachments, or beginner's projects Im all ears. Im excited to use it! Thanks again!

Hello everyone, I bought this lathe off someone for $50 and I got the motor working, but for the life of me I cant get this shaft out. I wanted to replace the belt. I have beat it, with no effect except damaging the shaft. I tried vice grips...heating it. I dont know what to do... Thank you...
