Speaking of sockets, Princess Auto has Astro Pneumatic "Nano socket" clones. They come in little foam trays too.

Those are V-series Craftsman/Facom sockets on an aluminum tray. Crazy!

Can you get one ultrasonic cleaner for everything or need different styles?

Yes! That's a useful technique too if you want to use solvent or special cleaner, for example, to wash something, but don't want to fill your tank with it. The movement of the ultrasonic wave will be transferred inside your bag/container.

    Milwaukee Striker Chisel Hammer?

I want one badly enough I might just have to get a red tool to sit next to my yellow ones. I'm glad this finally came to market - I saw no reason why there couldn't be an air-hammer replacement. I understand Milwaukee patented something - but there's nothing magical about the mechanics to...

Can you get one ultrasonic cleaner for everything or need different styles?

They make inexpensive ultrasonic cleaners for mouthguards specifically. Like $20. You can totally use one for everything - but if you do, I recommend you clean things inside ziplocks or jars (or whatever) and just keep clean water in the tank. That way you're not cross-contaminating everything.

I went to the KMS Tools 1-day dewalt event in Red Deer on Friday. This information is of no practical use since the sale is over and I think Red Deer was pretty much the last one for the season. Nevertheless, I was curious beforehand what the prices actually were. They advertise the giveaway...

Both Federated Tool and Canuck Tool seem to put the Dewalt Bandfile on sale for $199 on weekends. Don't ask me why it's a weekend thing - it seems odd. Nevertheless, that's a great price. It's like $379 MSRP.

    Inexpensive complete screwdriver bit set?

Bits are consumables. Bit sets are awesome. I tend not to get too worked up over which brand. I might look at: The TEKTON 37 piece 1/4 Inch Bit Driver and Bit Set with Case (DBH93101) The Lee Valley "99-Piece Not-So-Common Bit Set" PB Swiss, if I absolutely positively had to have the best and...

Speaking of cheap tools in the auto section, I like this brake caliper spreader for $8.50. I think it was "Evercraft" branded. I bought one last weekend since I was doing breaks on my F150. It worked great. Simple, but heavy-duty tool. The one-handed speeders (or some big pliers) are faster...

Socket Foam - Most Space Efficient?

Foam is great to work out of - if you have the toolbox space. Space-efficiency just isn't the reason to use it. It's for quick retrieval/replacement and identifying missing tools. If density is your goal, there are simply much better ways to achieve it. I oscillate myself on what...

I got my mini pliers. I think they're pretty sweet for the price. The knock-off cobras are just like my other pair. They have a nice finish and fine adjustment on the button lock. Having experienced these before I say they feel like the cobras (except for the different adjustment...

I suggest buying these in-person if possible. I'm only giving a first impression, but when I went to buy them I noticed some had better/worse jaw alignment. My Knipex were dead-on parallel, consistent width and height between the top and bottom jaws. Checking out the 12" size I went through all...

    Canada Only Deals!

Speaking of pliers wrenches, the Workpro mini pliers wrench and Cobra knock-offs are $34 on Amazon. Not a "sale" as far as I'm aware, but it seems like a good price since the pliers are ~$19 and the pliers wrench $23 separately (plus you get a pouch). I bought the mini pliers ages ago and I...

    Canada Only Deals!

Princess Auto's Plier Wrench is on sale. That's the first time since they came out, as far as I know. All three sizes. I'm going to try them. I see the reviews are mostly positive. I've handled them in-store and the handles are nice, but it's hard to get a feel for the mechanism when the head...
