Olsen's garage is pretty sweet! You are right, he did a really nice job on his fold up work bench. Defiantly something to consider in the future.

Yes, I would defiantly use a different epoxy & polyurethane. I choose "Alpha Garage", and spent $410 for both the epoxy & polyurethane (2 car garage). I am not happy with the consistency (the finish has a "pitted" look), and the top coat (polyurethane) is baddly scratched from my car tires...

Yes, I bought several sheets of 8x4' diamond plate. I dont remember what guage, but it was the thinnest that the metal yard sold. I had the 8x4 sheets cut in half, to (2) 8x2 sheets. The diamond plate on my wall is two feet tall. I used liquid nails to secure them to the wall. I love the...

Diamond plate, VCT, Craftsman, & Neon garage

On the side walls I used liquid nails and screws into the studs. However, I later realized that I didnt really need to use screws. So, on the back wall, I just used liquid nails. It defiantly looks much cleaner without the screws. The liquid nails is more than enough to secure the diamond...

Wow, thats the first good idea I have seen yet! That is actually very do-able.... Do you know anything about tankless water heaters??? If I wounted one on the wall, then I would solve my ugly water problem, and gain some storage.

epoxy coated VCT install, plus extras

Nice garage! You did a great job. Im laughing right now because your garage reminds me of my garage. I did all the same things you did (ie. VCT, epoxy, Craftsman, etc..). Strange....small world. http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=131677&showall=1

    UV Resistant clearcoat???

I used the "Alpha Garage" epoxy and polyurethane on my Armstrong VCT tiles. I must admitt, Im not happy with the overall results. My tile is yellowing, the top coat has a "pitted" look, and the top coat is scratched from my car tires. At quick glance the epoxy/polyurethane combo looks good...

Not sure. I bought (2) 8x4 sheets and had them cut in half to 2 foot sections. I think that two sheets was enough for the entire garage. Probably not more than $175 for both 8x4 sheets.

Neon signs are a tricky business. If the transformer needs fixing, then you are probably looking at $65. Its not too big of a job, and the transformers arent very expensive. If the tube is actually broken, then you could be looking at $85. Sometimes the neon has to be recharged and/or the...

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Yea.......Well, I guess its not the end of the world. If I had to redo it, I would defiantly use a different epoxy. Its good at a quick glance. But, if you are a perfectionist, its not very good!

Heres the deal with the VCT....... First the garage floor had to be prepared. I took a grinding wheel whith with a concrete bit and removed all the uneven concrete spots. The concrete slab was poured well, however, there were some spots where a little concrete dripped or it wasnt finished...

Well, thats the big problem... "Alpha Garage" talked me into buying the standard clear coat of epoxy AND a second coat which was polyurathane. The second coat of polyurithane was "guaranteed" not to scratch, and help prevent the white tile from yellowing. My wife pulls her car in and out of...
