Is the Craftsman 6 led pocket flashlight worth buying?

Hey guys, I bought 5 or 6 of these. I bought one on black friday because I thought it looked cool. Been using it here and there (all my lights are.. let's just say I'm a cpf'er) and i like it. It was 4.99. You can't really go wrong for that price. I like it because I can clip it on my work...

A good inline inflater with clip on chuck and deflater

Hi guys, I had a cheapie tractor supply inflater that finally bit the dust after a few years. I'm looking for a _good_ to _great_ one. I would think gauge-style this time, maybe good to 160psi. I'd probably mod it to have a quick connector at the end to run different chucks but some I've seen...

How do you store your air hammer bits

Lisle makes good tools. Mayhew and old forge are the top names last I heard. Made in the US and supposedly snap on relabels them. Never had a problem with either! Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk

    Shake-n-break versus impact gun

Galvanic corrosion. Any time 2 different metals are in contact, and water gets between them, they make voltage. Exactly like a battery does, except battery material is designed from the ground up for it. So it's a very small potential, but it happens. If they ran the steel screw in fast, they...

Air Compressor dying / midget with a ball peen hammer

Oh, I wasn't going to bother with another small upright. They're $400 or so. If I buy a new one, the amount of time I spend doing mobile now days, I'd just get a good gas powered one. That jumps up to ~$1600 or more. I have on board air on my work truck, but only 6cfm @ 100psi.

Air Compressor dying / midget with a ball peen hammer

No, I didn't take the pump apart. I didn't take the belt off, truthfully, but spun them both by hand looking for runout or the noise and found none. I'll order a new checkvalve today. Or rig up something to work in the mean time. I was thinking rod noise also. I'm hoping it's the check valve...

Air Compressor dying / midget with a ball peen hammer

I bought one of those small 20-25 gallon upright Husky oiled compressors around 5-6 years ago. The kind you can run off 110/220v, and has a pretty nice cast iron oiled compressor on it. When I first got it, I went through, upgraded all the piping to larger size, nice regulator to ditch the tiny...

Making the plunge, m12 vs m18

I went ahead and through the combo's got 1 xc battery, and 2 of the 2.0AH batteries. As far as the power port sucking and not charging properly, I've come across that before on several devices. I have a rooted/modded android phone. Most custom ROMs and kernels allow something called...

Making the plunge, m12 vs m18

Went with the brushless m12 fuel. Bought the 1/2 hammer drill fuel m12 and fuel 1/4 hex impact. Haven't used it yet but have a giant project this weekend so I'll put it through it's pace's. i picked up the power port and the little jigsaw as well. The power port seems cool. Should be nice to...

Making the plunge, m12 vs m18

Well, regular motor 20v dewalt vs brushless m12 That's the stuff I like to hear. Thanks! Well, no. The m12 3/8" impact does ~120ft/lb. I have plenty of corded and air tools for the big stuff, it's just hard to beat using a small impact on small stuff. Zipping a valve cover off an import...

Making the plunge, m12 vs m18

Hmm. Well, the M12 Fuel system has a 3/8" impact that does 1,400 in/lb (117 ft/lb). Just saw that. My main 'gripe' around the m18 is that they try to replace corded tools, so the tools are larger and heavier. I know, I had the Dewalt 20v regular impact with the largest batteries, and it was...

Making the plunge, m12 vs m18

Well, my Dewalt 20v setup has disappeared. It served me well. I had the non-brushless hammer drill and 1/4 hex impact. I used the impact the most, by far. I would use square drive arbors on it, and it had enough oomph to remove lug nuts on most cars. I had developed a system to pretty much use...

    Welder extension cord.

I have 2 cords I use. A 25' and a 50' 10 gauge. I bought them on sale at HD years ago. They're the yellow jacket or equiv. I cut the ends off, put strain reliefs on a box with a receptacle at one end (with hinged cover) and a plug on the other side. 10 gauge is enough for what I do, it will...

    Ridgid Quick Action Vises

Their regular vise looks awesome. Super streamlined. Rigid isn't a cheap brand, their brand is equated with impeccable products, and they charge for it... I'd love to get one. I'm saving my pennies right now for that hydraulic vise. It has a hydraulic cylinder and an air-hydraulic footpedal...

Q: Does anyone here own anyone of the Snap-on PH3050's

This is a tool forum, there are thousands of people here with Snap On tools, and that tool in particular is held in very high regard here. Bushing goes around the neck of the bit to give the beehive spring more grip on the bit, and prevent the bit from forcing it's way through the hole in the...
