JB weld makes a UV hardening glue. I buy it at Lowes normally. I use it quite a bit. Of course the downside is you need to get the light to the joint. I sometimes will use another glue in the joint and then the UV glue for positioning. If you go this route, open the package in the parking lot to...
That is what I would do. Don't make your color coats too light, at least after the first one. You want the paint to be able to flow. Do the color and then decide on the clear. I suspect you can get away with just clearing the lip, which is what I would strive for. There is less chance of the...
Here are a couple of pics showing roughly how I would back tape. Be sure the tape is well sealed to the paint. I would use regular 3M masking tape instead of painters tape as shown.
First, I am not a paint and body man. I have painted six or eight cars after repairing the rust and dents. Most came out good. I have limited work with BC/CC but did just have a similar experience with a Buick rendezvous hood. For your info GM was using aluminum on hoods at least back to 2004. I...
I worked for 15 years as an electrician in a steel mill. I have replaced bearings on hundreds of motors, of course most were multi-horsepower, three phase. Granted that has been 25 years ago but in my experience the spring washer always went on the fan side.
In my attached garage I covered that ledge with a piece of 1 x with a mitered top edge so I would not be able to line **** up along the top of the wall. With 8" block plus a brick veneer I had to use 1 x 10. In the workshop I just filled in with 2x material ripped to the correct width. Most of...
I would investigate using a collector/shoe assembly similar to this https://powerflex.as/wp-content/uploads/2018/09/KAT0811-0002b-E_Insulated_Conductor_Rail_SingleFlexLine.pdf.
To run the conduit from your inside breaker panel can you use two 45 degree bends to offset to the adjacent wall? You would then use two 90 degree bends in the same plane to get to the crawl space. See the green indication in the attached image.

I find it hard to accept that an effectively bonded system will have the impedance on the ground and neutral to be so similar. I would not expect the currents on neutral and ground to be so close unless your water line and service conductors are essentially in the same trench.
As for my...
