How can you do this to your car

It's a pig pen and looks bad, the capert on the dash board evokes class. But there is way worse....in the early 90's I worked at Best Buy installing stereos and had thousands of cars come through the shop. 2nd busiest store in the country, at the time. Most memorable - running power wire...

    wall covering options non-drywall

What do ya'll think about cedar board lining/planks for a laundry room attached to a garage? I'd like to use reclaimed wood but at $3/foot that gets real pricey. Rest of the garage is bright white drywalled.

    Re-use blown in insulation?

Thanks guys - the one pro I called preferred not to reuse old insulation due to drywall debris, rodent dust, etc. I did keep the bags dry and they are taking up half the garage. Still on the fence, don't want to mess with a rental blower and getting someone to help.

    Odd gable vent placement

Funny I clicked on this thread, I have that exact vent next to my water heater. When I had a plumber come out last year to raise the heater and clean up the piping, he told me it was not needed anymore. The home is from the 60's and the heater/vent are in the corner of the garage. I'm on the...

    Re-use blown in insulation?

Recently drywalled a 2 car garage and we pulled down the 50 year old ceiling. All of the blown-in insulation came down with it, and it was carefully placed in large trash bags. It's white and fluffy and was put up there in 1997. I can either carry the bags into the garage attic and attempt...

    Between 265 & 485 SQ/FT The Scooter Workshop

Amazing garage! I'm curious, was the previous owner some sort of electrical engineer? It appears both of you have invested plenty of effort in having a nice workshop. But I think him beat. :)

Home depo. 150 off deal. Milwaukee vs dewalt.

I just replaced a 20 year old Makita with a new Dewalt, the power is beyond amazing. And that little LED option will come in handy. The Dewalt and Milwaukee were both $100 on black friday clearance at Lowes, I decided on the Dewalt because of the light. Otherwise, all specs seemed equal.
