The beam-mounted cabinets would be even more useful if you could rotate them to allow usage while they are against the wall. Good idea nonetheless!

I just built a house and had it prewired for a security system from an independent installer. I would call some independent installers and get multiple quotes. Depending on how long you stay in the house, paying for an install and saving on the monthly monitoring can save you a lot of money...

I was looking at installing one at the house I'm building now, but I plan on adding a detached garage with plumbing later so I didn't demand one. Moen makes a set of them that look like standard outdoor sill faucets...
