Hose reel on a portable compressor?

Thanks for a great idea! I was originally thinking of just welding it to the underside of the handle so it didn't take up much room, could still be cranked, and allowed the original grab portion of the handle to be used. I may now try to just build a new bracket and also incorporate a small box...

Hose reel on a portable compressor?

I searched the site but couldn't find any examples, but I bought a cheap, small, HF hose reel and I want to mount it under the handle of my portable compressor. Anyone done it or have suggestions on how to do it or why I should not?

external wood stove ducted to shop

I've never had my insurance company ask, look, or otherwise seem to care what I have as heat in my shop. Why would they like it better for the stove to be INSIDE ranther than ** feet outside of the building? It just seemed like a good way to keep the mess out of the shop and closer to the wood...

external wood stove ducted to shop

Has anyone built/used a woodburning stove outside of your shop with some type of jacket around it covered by insulation and built so that you could use a duct fan to blow the heat into the shop. I am envisioning something with a jacket around the stovepipe too so that the air intake would come...

I bought the new DragTrack Supersport track to run some inhouse hotwheels eliminations on. It has electronic reaction timers, E.T...

    Something my concrete guy suggested.

I just did mine and they had it set up for the standard 1.5" lip with a 2x4. I asked the finisher to taper the edge back about 8" or so to floor grade. It is a real hassle to roll an engine stand, welder, or whatever up that lip with a square edge. With it tapered, the water stays out and it's...

    Looking for cost effective building

I paid the balance on the 30X30 steel building they finished TODAY. It has a concrete slab that was pretty high on one side and cost slightly more for extra concrete and fill sand, a 8X16 door, 8x8 door, steel personnel door, shed roof with 12' on one side and 14 on the other. They set forms...

    What's your workbench look like?

There are those that work ON their shop, and those that work IN their shop... Unfortunately I fall into the latter category, that's why I can't get close enough to my bench to take a picture...
