Ice Dam? (a.k.a. water coming from where it shouldn't)

When I bought my house it had a bad roof with the valley being particularly bad. I replaced it with a metal roof. That winter I got a bad ice dam. Ceiling was leaking and I made the mistake of poking it. Drywall fell and gallons of water came with it. I immediately jumped up on roof and not...

    Moving a two post lift?

A friend of mine bought an A-7 Mohawk lift a used a couple of years ago. To make you sick he paid $500. Asked me if it was a good deal and said if you don’t I will and I already have a lift! He threw out his back the week leading up to us going to pick it up. We got there and took a bunch of...

    HA HA!! 12 years later

Hours away from home on a Friday my service truck decided to have no power to starter. The 2006 Ford F-150 starter wire rotted off. Stripped back the wire and without a new lug I just vice gripped the wire on. Figured it will get me home. Started right up. Years later the starter wouldn’t start...

What do you think of Harbor Freight tools?

I subscribe to a lot of auto tech channels on Youtube. You would be surprised on how many HF tools you see being used. I typically have the same results using HF tools as I do using my other "professional" brands. They all break when you abuse them.

anybody regret doing a pole building?

If you are worried about longevity don't build anything. Nothing lasts forever. Rotted wood or crumbing foundations are a part of life. As soon as you build something that never rots or cracks a tornado or earthquake will tear it down. That being said as a pole barn owner I do wish it was...

    Light switches freezing weather

I have not been in town for most of the subzero weather. Maybe the wife isn’t 100% truthful that she opens the garage door the whole time the car is warming up? I have a 30x50 pole barn unheated and never had issues with light switches. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
