As I enter into the last quarter of my life, it was time to put what I'd worked hard for over 45 years into having
the "special" place where I can go and do the projects I enjoy. No time clock, no Supervisor...just my own schedule.

So, I just bought this little dude for my shop...more for looks than use I guess but, who knows. It's an Estate 240 Caboose wood stove.
They were used during the 1920's to cook and heat in the railroad cabooses. I like collecting the old railroad stuff and this added to my collection nicely.
This building used a unique rafter that incorporated not only the roof but the upper floor deck as well in one unit. It's super rigid but it wasn't cheap to have them made on the mainland and ferried over to the island.
I got the roll up doors hung. Concrete work under the carport is next and around the building. The inside is
all taped and finished now too. It's my dream shop coming to life.

It wasn't too bad, the worst part was the County made me build a curtain drain around the entire build area to collect any rainfall
that might happen to send it down the hill. It's 3 foot deep, rubber lined and filled in with 1" rock. The area is in arain shadow and gets about 1/2 the rain that...
This is the interior so far...getting sheetrock finish and doing the shower/toilet area. I've been anvil pounding for
30 years....I have all my stuff stored in a conex box right now. A 75 pound Little Giant and way more anvils that any human
should be allowed to have from 400lb plus to 1 pound...
