I know that under today's code its not acceptable to. I have Googled it and just find people repeating new code. My house was built in around 72. I opened a spot in the drywall and found 14 gauge wire to the outlets. I have 3 circuits that are 20 amps. It's original to the home and so are the...
i know people love the no care required pvc fences but its really not very true. i had a wood one at my old house and beside replaced a few screws after a few years did nothing to it. we have pvc around our pool and it gets mildew stains on it and the lawnmower scratches the hell out of it. had...
my suggestion to you is the contractor that will anser the phone and show up everytime. here in the midwest they are all happy to give you quotes ect.. when show time starts spring-fall. you will become a contractor hater. my advice to you is to not be understanding. theres always a excuse with...
have a wayne dalton in the regular garage. never had a problem with it. had a lift master at the old house and it seemed kind of touchy. just put a medium duty lift master in my shop for 11 foot height door and wow it is way quieter than the little ones.
i had a wick put up. it was a couple grand more than a bargin one. i felt like the couple grand was well worth the extra quality. best thing you can do is get lots of quotes and really study the details. i had lots of not tradition requests and did some of the finish work myself. only snafoo i...
i built the entire fence from scratch at my old house. i could use treated 2x4's and pickets and screw them together for the price of the premade junk. most are stapled. i just purchased a pallet of pickets from menards and the bad ones or ones i didnt use i returned.
i got my opener installed. i really wasent planning on getting one but the door was a lot more of a pain lifting and shuting then i thought. i didnt want my wife to try to open or close it. had orginally scheduled the orginal place i got my door from to install it but they were always shoving me...
to many regulators. we have them everywhere at work and eventually they leak. for a good pex like uponor you will be spending some money on brass fittings. i think a t is about 10 bucks
another thing you may want to consider is getting your contractor locked in now. looks like your going to need some dirt. can be hard to find at times close to you. if you select a contractor he can keep a eye out for some close by and have it hauled in. i felt like i was waiting on dirt to show...
i have a similar problem. i think a trench drain would be your best option. the other ones may work but could have a future problem with a really bad rain. a drain tile with the sock all the way across would be a cheap option also.
