Found these Saturday at an antique store. Previous ones I've found have been $75-100 but these were only $35 each so I grabbed them. Right into shop duty they go!
Sorry I'm just now catching up on this thread but I'm curious about the handle on ball pein on the far right. I recently picked up a brass ball pein with the same handle. Do you know anything about it? We're the holes for grip?

My son just started as an apprentice in June 2023. I bought him a bunch of Ideal & Klein tools that I thought he'd need. Turns out he barely uses any of it as an apprentice. He is mostly carrying supplies and bending conduit for the more experienced guys.

Ordered a sample of some new flux core wire to try out on sheet metal. I've only ever ran fluxcore in my Lincoln and need to do some sheetmetal patches soon so before I go buy a bottle and everything to convert to gas, I'm going to see what kind of results I get with this.
For sheetmetal and other thin material jobs, a good 110v MIG with gas is just fine. You don't NEED the 220v unless you're planning on welding over 3/16" material. I have used flux core on sheetmetal but it's messy and a PITA.
You can buy solid MIG wire in 10lb spools.
