I use deep sockets almost exclusively, both chrome and impact. There are a few cases where shallow and low profile are the only way to go, but the overwhelming majority is deep socket use.

I can't speak for the short combination wrenches as I don't have those. However, I do have the 1/2 6pt impacts and the combination wrenches. The impacts are USA Snap On, just stamped CAT instead of Snap On and the combination wrenches I have are Williams USA SUPERCOMBO wrenches.
