How to make these cuts in a 4x4?

Thanks everyone for the ideas and help; I ended up just going with a standard two post setup. The added cost of materials (4x4, bars, cement, etc) was a bit more than I wanted to spend. After reading a bunch of posts over at Crossfit.com I went with a screw-in mount on one side and a through...

How to make these cuts in a 4x4?

Cool, thanks guys. Sounds like getting it setup will be the fun part. I should probably do it the right way and not wing it with my sawzall haha. Someone on another board recommended drilling the holes out for the bar to pass through instead of using screws to hold the bars up. If I went...

How to make these cuts in a 4x4?

Yes its the corner cuts that I'm trying to figure out. With the circular saw would I cut the depth I want and then use the chisel to "knock" it out flat? Would I do two cuts or a bunch of them? As you can tell its been about 20+ years since I was in wood-shop. Thanks

How to make these cuts in a 4x4?

I'm looking to build a pull-up station and I'm trying to figure out how to make these cuts with standard power tools (skill saw, jig saw, rotozip, sawzall, etc). I don't have anything fancy like a table saw. Thanks!

    INCREDIBLE Tip-over JIG!!!

I made a video of the Rolltisserie with our new camera. Cheesy I know, but it shows how easy it is to roll.

    INCREDIBLE Tip-over JIG!!!

It is plenty strong with the car stripped. Steel would be a overkill in this application and cost much more.

    INCREDIBLE Tip-over JIG!!!

Sorry for the late reply, I don't come over here as much as I should. I'll subscribe to this thread for email updates in case anyone has a question. That green Golf is exactly where I got the idea. I'm not smart enough to think of something so simple myself. :headscrat I just used a little...

How much weight can a typical joist hold?

Thanks for all the replies. I'm by no means trying to go the hill billy route and had this thing by the tree branches out front. Plus my wife would be really pissed if I caved the roof in working on the car. I cant do the engine stands as I don't have enough length in the garage to close the...

How much weight can a typical joist hold?

So here is what I have going on. I'm working on a 93 Mustang coupe and have the body completely stripped down to the shell. Currently its sitting on a Northern Tool furniture dolly out back and a boat trailer jack up front. The shell itself is pretty light and three guys could pick it up no...
