I love this site. I know this is an old thread, but I looked up "Champion CT-405" to see how old this was... and not only found some info, but the patent. Awesome. As an engineer, I find it fascinating. Mine is patent pending, so it has to be pre-1951.... and I have it hooked to a 1946...

Re: using a torque wrench to tighten lung nuts I use a HF torque wrench on wheels, and my snap-on for engines. Will it hurt to use a snap-on for wheels? Nope. Torque sticks are pretty good if used properly. But, so are impacts. Someone who does it day in and day out can get them almost all...
