Let's see your toolbox stickers and decals.

I always tried to keep the stickers off of my box over the years, but a couple managed to make their way onto it during my career. The upper left is a “Perfect Light” sticker from cutting a .000 RT at National Trail Raceway. The bottom right sticker needs no explanation.

    Seized tie rod bolt

Was thinking the same thing. In the very few times in my career in which a customer professed to know better than me, or questioned what I was doing, they got their car back in a hurry.

    NPT Thread sealant?

One more vote for Teflon tape. I’ve used it many times in applications like that. There are also automotive specific pipe/plug sealants out there too. I prefer Teflon tape, as it assures the sealing agent stays on the threads.

Buy or Build a sturdy workbench/ammo reloading bench?

I bought one of these 8ft Husky workbenches the other day. At $384.99, I couldn’t have built one for that. I would consider this a pretty good solution if you‘re on the fence about your woodworking skills. I like building things, but I would have wound up spending over $200 just for a top like...

    Jacking unibody vehicles

    adjustable wrench

I do like Crescents—the older the better. My youngest one is still US made, but the finish has flaked off in spots. Of course, this happened on the big expensive (probably 18” or so) one. I will say that I’ve always admired the Snap-Ons. They have this bright finish that almost looks like...

The One Snap On Ratchet You'd Choose

I have upwards of 15 Snap-On ratchets, and the one that has been used far and away the most is your typical 11.5 inch long, straight handle flex-head 3/8. Quick-release isn’t really popular on Snap-On, so I was never into those heads. It also limits your clearance. Also, the soft grip stuff...

New Snap On long locking 3/8 ratchets

The old locking mechanism had room for improvement, but I guess that didn’t stop me from buying 3 or 4 of them in various configurations. I will never be sold on soft-grip though. I don’t mind buying $200 ratchets, but it’s a deal breaker when expensive tools look like **** after a week.
