Deciding on best lift for my purposes

Gets to be pretty far from end to end. I have an extra wide lift and can fully open CCLB doors on the lift. Standard width 2 posts have you squeezing between the post and the cab to get in or out.

    New ICON coolant pressure tester

Not all, for sure. If you use it once a year, or once every 2 years it's not a big deal. If you don't have a compressor, it's ideal. But if your using it more often, it sure is nice not to keep going back to that hand pump. Set and forget. Adjust to the exact pressure you want. I have a...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Medford is like the Sami capital of the PNW. My original plan was to do a TDI conversion, Toy axles and Jeep suspension. I've decided this one is too nice to chop up, I'll sell it as a survivior and buy one someone else has already ruined... er, I mean modified. My last sami....

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Decided it was finally time to mess with this little beastie... Been sitting in the back yard for 3 1/2 years. Dropped a serviceable battery in it, cranked for about 15 seconds, and fired up! Wouldn't run very well, found some PO carb *******, monkeyed with it and drove it into the shop...

    Offset Extension Wrench

This little guy works about perfect for the DOHC models.

Are carbide sawzall blades worth the extra money?

I prefer the carbide blades if the extra width isn't an issue. They last 10x as long. I haven't used them on an air saw, just a sawzall and a multi-tool.

    Offset Extension Wrench

I have a set of the Tite-Reach ones. They have a chain drive inside them so an impact is useless. The only thing they have worked really well at was making headlight adjustments on my Tacoma. One of the screws is in a very difficult to reach area and the tite-reach made it super easy. I can...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Wasn't aware of that. Since you mentioned it, I double checked. Didn't budge at 50 ft/lbs, so I'm calling it good. All back together, everything working as advertised. Took it for a test drive today.

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Our place was pretty much engineered for sunsets. I'll see what tonight brings. It doesn't seem smokey enough for the good stuff at the moment....

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Not too smokey here, but it's harvest season so hot as heck. Smokey enough for some good sunsets, but not too stinky. Light campfire aroma....

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Got the replacement motor timing stuff all replaced. It went back in way smother that it came out. I may have been a bit hangry or heat affected... We'll see how much progress I get tommorow... it's been in the high 90's this week and I haven't been working very hard. This thermometer...

Auto mechs, how often do you use deep sockets? Would you miss them?

I use them all the time. But I use all lengths often (Stubby, standard, mid, deep, standard flex, mid flex, extensions...). Depends upon use. With an impact, the fewer connections the better. If I can get by with a deep 6pt impact rather than a short extension and a shorter socket, thats what...

    Another 2 post lift

I lift 1 tons with my 10k all the time. 12k would be better, but that what I've got.
