Today, I disassembled the vise to review internal condition and found a few things:
1) The small adjustment block behind the vise nut was present but completely loose. That explains the 1/2" in/out slop in the main screw.
2) Main screw collar was present but positioned halfway, rather than at...
Mark me down as having another 5198.
