Sorry, let me clarify a bit. I fully intend to wear hearing protection when using loud tools. I just want to know if there are any good suggestion for lowering the noise in general in the shop.

Thank you all for confirming my suspicion. The prices I am seeing are roughly $8 at Lowes and Home Depot and $10 at several lumber stores. Don't know about the quality difference between the two. This is for 7/16" non tongue and groove. Keith
