    1 3/16 wrench

Cleaver Brooks, boiler feed water storage tanks used this size on the door clamp nuts. In the boiler room, we used all different sizes of wrenches.1 3/16, 1 1/4, 1 5/16, 1 3/8, and on and on. When we couldn't find a size we needed we would just go look for a cheap Chinese set that had what we...

My Craftsman rant to their customer service

I was an industrial maintenance mechanic for many years, l loved that job, I was getting paid to do what I loved to do, and the company was buying all the parts and material. All of my tools were Craftsman, and all U.S. made. I won't buy any more tools from Sears, but I will never sell the tools...

    Whats the best toolbox liner?

The best drawer liner I have used is automotive carpet. It has a very short knap, it is very stiff and lays flat and if cut to fit snugly it will not move around. It can be found at most car upholstery places, usually for very cheap or free. Ken.

    Swivel Head Ratchets

To Skruft, Don't believe for a second that car makers try to make any thing easy for the people who work on the cars. Even back just before my dad retired,he was frustrated by the way things were assembled. Like crossmembers that were bolted in with nuts and bolts with no way to get to the...

Response to my Letter to Sears about USA made tools

Just a note about manufacturing in another 4 th, or 5 th, world country, look at India, we already have **** from them, and about 80% of failed stuff I see at H.F. is from there. Ken.

Bandsaw restore, big, old & heavy

WOW! That is one fine looking machine. Around here a 5 h.p. single phase motor will cost a lot more than a 7.5 h.p. 3 phase motor, because residential installations almost NEVER, have 3 phase power. If you do you are very lucky . Go for new tires and have fun. Ken,Washington State.

Use the money to buy some good lumber and hardware, and build yourself something solid that doesn't sound like a garbage can when you pound on it. Ken.

Why I buy from Harbor Freight - No bashing!

I, more than anything, worry about the loss of manufacturing in the U.S. and the U. K. Does anybody remember hearing about W.W.ll? What would we do, if the **** hit the fan now? I am sure that China would drop what they are doing and run to our defense, NOT!!!! Ken.

Is there a M5 thread restorer?

If you can, use a thread chaser/restorer rather than a tap. No mater the quality of the tap, they can sometimes cut threads that you don't want Ken.
